Aston Martin Works is preparing for a busy September of new sports car sales handovers, led by its first delivery of the sold-out Vantage GT12.

The arrival of the ‘65’ registration plate will trigger the traditional September sales spike as eager buyers of the great British brand’s luxury sports cars take delivery of their new models.

The Newport Pagnell business – among the busiest Aston Martin dealerships in the world since it opened its impressive new car showroom in 2012 – is gearing up for one of its most hectic months of the year as buyers from across the UK collect their new cars.

Leading the charge from the Buckinghamshire showroom this September is the arrival of one of the first new Vantage GT12 sports cars to be handed over to a UK customer.

With production strictly limited to just 100, the Vantage GT12 special edition draws on all of the brand’s learning from years of top level motorsport competition around the globe. It is equipped with a new iteration of the Aston Martin 6.0-litre V12 engine and is capable of generating up to 600 PS making it not only more powerful but also 100kg lighter than a standard V12 Vantage S.

Significantly restyled, as well as re-engineered, the motorsport-inspired road car is lower and wider than any of its Vantage siblings and boasts cutting edge motorsport-inspired features such as the extensive use of carbon fibre inside, as well as a track-focused aerodynamics pack which includes a prominent rear wing and pronounced front splitter.

Inspired by Aston Martin Racing’s successful campaigns, this new GT3-derived Vantage has been designed and engineered exclusively at Aston Martin’s Gaydon Headquarters in Warwickshire, England, to be the most overt expression of everything that defines Vantage: an inspirational sports model offering supreme driveability on the road, and uncompromising dynamic performance on track.

Commenting on the Vantage GT12, and the prospect of a particularly busy month of new car business, Aston Martin Works Commercial Director Paul Spires said: “September remains a hugely busy period for us, and with the added anticipation around deliveries of the brand’s most sought-after models such as the now sold-out Vantage GT12, we are set for a hectic but very positive few weeks.”
